The things we women go through for beauty.
A Brazilian wax...First
thing that come to my mind is pain, and yes it is painful, but on to my story.
I was tired of
shaving and I was so interested in a Brazilian wax that I was
so anxious to try it. My fiancé and I decided to have our wedding in
Jamaica, and I wanted to purchase a sexy Brazilian bikini, which meant, I had
to face my fears and get the wax, (let’s face it a Brazilian bikini
is not attractive without a Brazilian wax).
I researched
for literally two month for the best place to go in northern Virginia, how
to make it less painful and the do's and don’ts of before and after. Yes I
was a tad bit obsessed and my fiancé was not helping
by encouraging my obsession. My sister and I decided to do it
together since we were both terrified, I never had any part on my body waxed
before I decided to try my legs at home to see if I can withstand the wax. It
was a piece of cake...well for me at least, my sister tried it screamed at the
top of her lungs and chickened out of the Brazilian, so here I was once
again facing my fears alone.
I ended up going
to a spa down the street from my house, and my aesthetician
I laid down and all these positions went through my head, so I
asked her what position does she need me to lay in, she smiled and said just
lay down. So I laid down and she got everything ready, then put my legs in a
diamond like shape. I started doing some breathing like the pregnancy shows, to
calm myself. The first rip was literary nothing, the one after that was…..HELL!!!
I thought for a second I wouldn’t be able to finish, but then thought how weird
I would look with it half done. So I stuck through it but once the top was over
with and we were head down the “back” the pain was just about gone, it was easy
from then on out, a bit ouches here and there but bearable. Thirty minutes
later, I paid and tipped and I was out the door.
My experience was painfully, but I LOVE the way I feel. I feel like
a new woman with baby like skin, everywhere. Also my fiancé loves it; Nina was
a sweet aesthetician
